About the training

This four-week training session provides workers with a completed pre-apprenticeship application. It also includes certifications in OSHA-10, forklift and flagging. Workers must have a high school diploma/GED and a valid Washington state drivers’ license. They must meet other basic criteria as well.

About the Swift Center

A 12,000 sq. ft. facility, the SWFT (Southwest Washington Flexible Training) Center provides training for trades education at Centralia College. It’s funded in part through a $1.3 million grant from the TransAlta Coal Transition Board. Part of Centralia College’s vision to address employer demand, the facility is the first of its kind in the region.
