The Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) is the voice of the residential construction industry in the state of Washington, representing nearly 8,000 home builders, remodelers and their associates.
As one of the largest home building associations in America, BIAW champions the rights of our members and fights for affordable homeownership at all levels of government.
Why Work Here?
With roughly 40 employees, BIAW works hard to serve our members and supports teamwork across the office. Whether it’s annual holiday gatherings, bonding days at the Tacoma Rainiers, staff celebrations, trivia night, or summer barbecues on our deck, we like spending time together and BIAW supports that.
Three times a year, staff have the chance to support our board meetings all around the state, giving us the chance to enjoy Washington’s natural beauty and have fun with members and staff from our 14 local associations.

Of course we were all hired to do our core positions, but BIAW truly values professional development. BIAW provides modern workspaces and upgraded technology, patio spaces for summer weather, and a kitchen for staff with free coffee.
Although we offer flexible work-from-home schedules, we guarantee you’ll want to take advantage of the Tumwater Falls Park directly across the street from our office. With 15 acres of trails, enjoy a walk in the park on a sunny day with stunning views. It’s raining? No problem! Stay active at the golf course or Tumwater Valley Athletic Club less than a mile from our office.
