Contractor fees increase 5.79% in April

The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) will increase contractor registration, renewal and reinstatement fees by 5.79%, effective April 22, 2022.
Contractor fee increases
- Fees for contractor registration, renewal or re-registration increase from $117.90 to $124.70. Registration is valid for two years or until it is suspended or revoked.
- Fees for the reinstatement of a certificate of registration increase from $55.70 to $58.90.
Why the increase?
The law requires L&I to revise contractor fees at least once every two years to recognize economic changes reflected in the fiscal growth factor. They last increased the fee in 2019.
