New Mandatory PFML Posters Available

The Washington Employment Security Department (ESD) made available its Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) poster and employer notice to employees.

All employers with employees working in Washington must post the mandatory PFML poster in an open and visible place on their worksites. Employers also must provide the notice to employees who may be eligible for PFML after it’s been:

• • Five business days after an employee’s seventh consecutive day of absence due to family or medical leave, or

 

• Five business days after an employer becomes aware that the employee’s absence is due to family or medical leave.
