Construction industry eligible for vaccines starting 3/31/2021

March 30, 2021

The entire construction industry becomes eligible for COVID-19 vaccines effective March 31. This includes everyone who works in the construction industry, including administrative staff.

Already three million Washington residents are eligible for the vaccine. As of tomorrow, another two million people become eligible, including those:

  • With two or more comorbidities;
  • Between the ages of 60 and 64;
  • Living in congregate settings (correctional facilities, group homes for those with disabilities, those experiencing homelessness, etc.); and
  • Workers in congregate settings (restaurants, manufacturing, construction) who are not already eligible.

Also, starting March 31, the state Department of Health will no longer require proof of vaccine eligibility from their “Phase Finder” tool and instead move to the honor system for vaccinations.

You can find vaccine appointments via the DOH Vaccine Locator site: VaccinateWA.  Everyone over the age of 16 will be eligible for the vaccine starting April 15, 2021.
