BIAW has just added another benefit for members to build and strengthen their businesses. The BIAW Contracts Package is now FREE for all home building association members in Washington.
Valuable before, even more accessible now
Originally introduced as a subscription service in 2022 with a $399 price point, the package was developed by local land use attorneys familiar with Washington law.
Washington-based attorneys with deep connections and knowledge of the home building industry drafted each template specifically for Washington’s residential home builders.
When BIAW 2026 President Aaron Marvin took office, one of his top priorities was to continue to add value for BIAW members. An early subscriber to the contract service, Marvin proposed providing free access to all members as an added benefit. The BIAW Board of Directors approved the change at the BIAW Winter Board Meeting in March.
“Running a business is hard enough,” Marvin said. “Having solid contracts with your clients, your subcontractors and your employees gives you valuable peace of mind. This is just another way we can reward people for choosing to become a member of their local home building association."

The package includes more than two dozen templates and addenda covering the agreements members use every day:

- Spec home construction agreements
- Subcontractor and supplier agreements
- Consultant and design service agreements
- Lien waivers and payment documents
- Indemnity and affidavit forms
- Draft employee policies

If you don’t have an account, you’ll need the:
- First and last name of the member of record for your company
- Your company name
- Your NAHB company ID (not your NAHB PIN)
