William H. Childress, 77, of Olympia, passed away peacefully on Oct. 22, 2025.

A builder and developer who followed in his father’s footsteps, Bill grew up on a jobsite and never lost his love for creating and building, eventually passing that craft down to his sons. Known for his strength and dry sense of humor, he was disciplined, determined, and deeply loyal to those he loved.

Beneath that strong exterior was a man with a steadfast and tender devotion to his family.

Bill was happiest surrounded by those he loved most. He took immense pride in his wife, his children, and the life they built together.

He is survived by his devoted bride of 45 years, Sally Childress, and his four children — Billy, Scott, Annie, and Jake — who will always remember him as their steady foundation.
