Share your knowledge, build our workforce

June 21, 2021

Do you have a minimum of three years journey level experience in your trade? Are you licensed (if your trade requires it)?  Do you want to help build our future workforce? Or do you know someone who does?

The Construction Industry Training Council of Washington (CITC) needs you!

CITC anticipates more than 1,400 students will enroll throughout the state for the 2021/2022 school year. More students mean more classes. More classes mean more INSTRUCTORS.

The council seeks skilled journey-workers that enjoy training apprentices on-site and have an interest in teaching in a classroom and lab setting.

All CITC faculty work part-time and come from the trades. Many instructors receive referrals from contractors who recognize the natural teachers/leaders in their companies and refer them to CITC. To ensure enough time to prepare new instructors to teach in the fall, CITC wants to fill all positions as soon as possible. This allows the new instructors time to receive training so they are prepared to instruct in a classroom setting when classes start this fall.

CITC needs instructors for the following sites:

  • Carpentry (Bellevue, Marysville, Tacoma, and Vancouver)
  • Electrical (All CITC locations)
  • HVAC (Bellevue and Vancouver)

Qualifications

Instructor candidates must have a minimum of three years of journey-level experience and must be licensed if their trade requires it.

All positions offer a competitive hourly wage, paid at the end of each month
