Join the COVID-19 Safety Stand-Down

January 6, 2021

Woman in hardhat doing temp checks on two men with hardhats and COVID masks As we continue to promote safe jobsites so we can “stay safe and stay open,” the Building Industry Association of Washington is joining the National Association of Home Builders in encouraging all residential construction companies across the country to halt work for at least 10 minutes during the week of Jan. 11-15, 2021, for a COVID-19 Jobsite Safety Stand-Down to remind workers what they should do to keep themselves and their colleagues safe from COVID-19 and to help reduce its spread.

NAHB has developed detailed blueprints — in English and Spanish — for builders and trade contractors to conduct their COVID-19 safety stand-downs.

Since Washington’s COVID-19 job site safety requirements already call for weekly safety trainings, we encourage you to send us photos of your next training so we can show our support for this national effort on social media!  Send your photos to communications@biaw.com.
