As a part of our winter board meeting, BIAW members have an opportunity to participate in Hill Day on Feb. 25. Hill Day is a chance to meet with your lawmakers about the critical issues facing our industry, such as housing affordability, labor shortage, energy code requirements, permitting inconsistency, and fees. Legislators want to hear from you, especially about how proposed laws, regulations, fees, and taxes might impact your business.
To ensure you are prepared for your visit to the Capitol, members will be briefed at lunch before we depart ways to connect with your lawmaker, and we will provide you with a list of talking points. We will also help you look up your lawmaker’s offices, both for your home and business addresses, if they are different. If you need help finding your legislator, click here.
During your visit, make sure to invite your lawmakers to BIAW’s Legislative Reception and 70th Anniversary Celebration that night at 7 p.m. at the Hotel RL in conjunction with the winter board meeting.
