BIAW Remodelers

BIAW Remodelers

The purpose of the BIAW Remodelers is to encourage legislation which benefits the remodeling industry; offer and promote education courses designed to enhance the individual remodeler; and, provide unique networking opportunities and workshops for BIAW remodeler members throughout the year.

Along with the perfunctory duties of the Remodelers (the Remodelers Chair presents the Remodelers' Report to the BIAW Board during the Winter, Summer and Fall Board of Directors meetings), the group also hosts the annual Excellence in Remodeling (EIR) Awards Reception in conjunction with the BIAW Summer Board meeting. The EIR Awards honor the state's top remodeling projects, showcasing professional and quality craftsmanship in a variety of categories and price ranges.

BIAW and NAHB Education and Designation Programs promote professionalism in industry practice and broader consumer awareness of the remodeling industry, as well as improve the expertise and credibility of BIAW remodelers. The professional designations are the result of the work of NAHB Remodelers, in conjunction with the NAHB Research Center, the NAHB 50+ Housing Council and AARP.
