BIAW offers seminars and workshops addressing current issues affecting the homebuilding industry, such as:
Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL);
building code updates; contracts; warranties; lien laws;
green building; and, homeowner maintenance, to name a few.
BIAW understands the challenge to find the time to attend continuing education classes.
This is why we offer a self study education option to achieve the
Residential Construction Superintendent (RCS) professional designation. The RCS consists
of eight training modules designed to prepare participants for the role of the onsite
superintendent. These classes are designed to fit around your schedule and from the comfort of your home.

BIAW Real Estate School
The BIAW Real Estate School,
a subsidary of the BIAW Education Program, offers members and non-members alike, the opportunity to earn real estate clock hours.
Courses and instructors are approved by the Washington State Department of Licensing, Real Estate Commission.
As a sponsoring member of the Construction Industry Training Council (CITC),
BIAW has opened new channels of information, educational opportunities and training for BIAW members. This partnership has
allowed BIAW the opportunity to provide residential, construction-oriented, and apprenticeship training programs targeting specific
skills needed in the homebuilding industry.
Low Impact Development
Low Impact Development (LID) is a method for handling stormwater using alternatives to pipes and drains.
LID techniques mimic natural site hydrology by using site design and best management practices (BMPs)
that retain vegetation, limit impervious surfaces, and infiltrate runoff onsite.
