12 Steps to Designing and Building Zero Energy Homes

A full-day class that requires a broad knowledge of building science.

This 12-step class is the definitive course for designers and builders who want to learn the intricacies of designing and building zero-energy homes. Your instructor, Ted L. Clifton, has personally designed hundreds of zero-energy homes in every climate zone of the US, including Central Florida and Interior Alaska. His construction company, CVH Inc., has built a few dozen of these homes on and near Whidbey Island, WA, and has earned more national awards from the DOE, NAHB, SIPA, and others than all other Washington State builders combined. At least five builders using plans by Clifton have earned national awards from the US DOE.

The course is broken down into thirteen sections; one introduction and a section for each of the Twelve Steps.

Instructor: Ted Clifton, CGB, MCGP
