BIAW Economic Report Released

On March 18th, the Sacramento Regional Research Institute released its much-awaited "The Economic Benefits of Housing in Washington" report. For years BIAW has touted the importance of new home construction to the state economy, and now we have credible, thorough numbers to support our argument. The report quantifes the economic impacts of new home construction and the broader housing industry on the state economy, including output, jobs, and local and state taxes. The report also studies the impact of homebuilding on three regions: Puget Sound, Vancouver, and Spokane.
